December Walk

I haven't taken any pictures in a long while.. Hubby was in a quadrunner accident on the 24th of November.. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I still went on my morning walk but I just didn't have the time to stop and smell the sage brush :-) Hubby is home and mending. We are ready for Christmas.. We have been enjoying the snow and cold weather..

This is Gordon. He belongs to a neighbor. He likes to come out and greet us on our walk.

I saw a jack rabbit run into this hole.

Another critter hole..

Snow on the ground. It was like 10 degrees this morning.. a cold but refreshing walk.

Lake Tahoe lies beyond this mountain

Path in front of my house- across the street.

Monday Walk

Jeff found this tree that looks like an h

This road is on the other side of the lake bed, beyond a hill we hiked up

Jeff.. Just turned 40 a couple of weeks ago- hubby of 19 years

Grove of trees..

A birds nest.. A gift.. God knows how much I love birds. I don't see many here- so finding this nest was a treasure indeed..

Todays walk was peaceful, restoring, and beautiful. I always find something new out on our walks.. It is a rugged beauty.. My time with the Lord was refreshing. Restorative.. I have been praying that the Lord would restore the joy of thy salvation.. He is doing just that!

Today's Church Service

Today hubby didn't want to go walking with me. I took full opportunity to spend some time alone with God. I have a favorite tree that I love to sit on and take in God's beauty.. So I armed myself with a backpack, camera and my Bible. I took lots of pictures and on my way back I found my tree. I planted myself down, read the Word, listened to Alan Jackson's hymn cd on my ipod and cried out to God. It was the best church service I have been to in a long time.
This is my favorite tree.

This is the view from my tree.

My Bible

Ps 5:21 "For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all of his goings." One of my favorite scriptures..

More pictures from my walk.

I found this at the top of the hill on the other side of the lake bed..

This is the other side of the lake, we haven't attempted walking this far yet. I walked across the lake bed, climbed a hill and this was the view on the other side.

This picture is of our side of the lake. This is Lake Lahanton by the way- in Silver Springs Nevada. It is at only 5% capacity right now. We love walking at the park- it peaceful as well as beautiful.
